The Dream We Couldn’t Ignore: Headway Supporting Kids from Orphanage

When we saw this heartfelt wish in our Dreamway community, we knew immediately we had to make it a reality. Today, we want to share the story of the inspiring children at the Kiwari Foundation in Yogyakarta.

Kids full of hope despite the struggle

The loss of a parent leaves a deep and lasting hurt, especially for young hearts that should be surrounded by love and care. But these children haven't let hardship dim their hope. They still dream of becoming doctors, teachers, and leaders, they learn and pray for a brighter tomorrow.

Support that goes beyond the package

Headway’s aid was about more than meeting needs – it was about lifting spirits. We delivered 70 special packages, thoughtfully put together for their daily and spiritual well-being. Boys received sarongs, prayer mats, skullcaps, food, drinks, and IDR 100,000 in personal funds. Girls were given prayer robes, prayer mats, food, drinks, and the same amount in cash. This support is meant to ease daily life, deepen their spiritual practice, and nurture a sense of hope.
